About Us

  Bank of Tianjin CO., LTD., referred to as Bank of Tianjin, is a company listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with stock code 1578 and headquartered in Tianjin. As of the end of 2021, it has registered capital of RMB 6.071 billion Yuan and owner’s equity of RMB 57.541 billion Yuan. In the equity structure, domestic legal person shares account for 65.47%, H shares account for 29.07%, and domestic natural person shares account for 5.46%.

  The main shareholders are as follows: Tianjin Free Trade Zone Investment Co., Ltd., holding 15.93%; ANZ Banking Group Co., Ltd., holding 11.95%; Tianjin Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., holding 8.02%; Tianjin Bohai Chemical Group Co., Ltd., holding 8.02%; CSSC International Holdings Co., Ltd., holding 4.99%; and Tianjin Jinrong Investment Service Group Co., Ltd., holding 1.93%.

  Bank of Tianjin was formerly known as the Urban Credit Cooperative. On October 29, 1996, approved by the People’s Bank of China, it was established as the “Tianjin City Cooperative Bank” on the basis of 65 urban credit cooperatives and 2 associated business units, becoming one of the first batch of 5 urban cooperative banks approved to be established. In August 1998, it was renamed “Tianjin Commercial Bank” in accordance with the requirements of the State Council. In 2006, ANZ Bank was introduced as an overseas strategic investor. In February 2007, with the approval of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, it was renamed “Bank of Tianjin” and was allowed to operate across regions. It has successively established first-tier branches in Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Shanghai, Jinan, and Chengdu. In March 2016, it was listed in Hong Kong.

  As of the end of 2021, Bank of Tianjin has had 1 business department, 6 central sub-branches, 7 first-level branches and 6 second-level branches nationwide, with a total of 216 business institutions. It has invested in the establishment of Bank of Tianjin Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., Tianjin Jizhou Village Bank, and 7 Jinhui Village Banks in Ningxia and Xinjiang Autonomous Regions, covering the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta and important cities in the central and western regions.
